I am trying to go through and repair several things on my 87 FJ60. I bought the Chiltons manual for the pick up, Cruiser and is sucks. It has very little info about the cruiser in detail. the carb is not in there and several other things. which manual is most comprehensive and where can I find it?

Searches are fun. You should try.

Here's a thread that covers what factory manuals you need. In my opinion, the factory manual is the only way to go. You'll need the 2F engine manual to cover the carburetor, the body & chassis manual will cover axles & drive train. If you still have your smog equipment and plan on keeping it, then you'll also need the emissions manual.

AND, if you're a amateur who never took auto shop(like me) you might want to have the Haynes manual IN ADDITION TO the FSM's, 'cause it gives full, written descriptions of some operations which the FSM's have as minimal "pictograph-with-caption" directions.
