bit of a dillema here. I have a built 350 carbed with rv cam and descent flowing heads probably just under 280 horse. Or I can use the L98 from my friends wrecked 1985 vette. I plan on using the stock toy 4 spd and running 33's with 4:10. this is not a daily driver or solely a wheeler, just a fun truck to scoot around in and get me into the mountains. so I was thinking the L98 for the injection but it seems to be a bit complicated. is it worth it or should I stick to the lower mileage carbed engine? niether one are in the vehicle yet but one will be soon. please help!!!!:hhmm:

My 2 cents goes with the one you have. Injection is nice but hard to set up , plus you might find the weak link in your running gear . Good luck

i would go the tuned port injection if it were me (i already did) its not as hard as you think to do, but not the cheapest either. but if you get a deal on the motor with all the goodies (harness, all sensors, relays, etc.) do it. you can convert the factory harness to work on anything kinda like a painless harness does. 85 isn't the best year but usable (the ECM isn't the best) 86 through 89 with MAF or 90 to 92 with MAP are better ones. do a search on tuned port injection or fuel injection or TPI because i have posted up tons of sites to check out. and buy the conversion book from www.jagsthatrun.com it is a good read along with other how to books also search www.amazon.com for tuned port injection or TPI because they have better prices on the books or www.motorbooks.com and check out www.chevythunder.com its a great site. and try google too. and if you do it PM me and i will tell you what water neck to use and the upper hose number that will work with your factory radiator. good luck no matter wich way you go!

oh and i forgot these guys to take care of VATS http://mysite.verizon.net/vze7erz1/
