Hello Everyone. I did some research on what I need but cannot seem to find it. I am hoping somebody could tell me what I'm missing.

I have a 2018 LC200 and plan to tow a small trailer (5' x 9'). I have the OEM trailer hitch and I bought a 2" ball for it. I do not see a 4-pin connector for the trailer anywhere.

Under my vehicle I have two plus. One looks like a 2-prong and another like some OEM 5-prong.

The 5-prong seems to match exactly with this "Trailer Brake Jumper Harness" I received when I bought the car (used), but both pieces are male where I would need one of them female.

If I understand correctly, a female version of the above piece with a 4-pin connector (to go to the trailer) sounds like what I need. But I cannot find it and Autozone had nothing that could help me.

What is the name of the plug I have and what do I need to be able to tow? I would appreciate any help!

Here’s a thread with all the info you need. Basically a harness that plugs in those connectors and mounts on the LC, then a 7 pin to 4 pin adapter.

The harness you have is for connecting a trailer brake controller under the dash, behind the switch panel in front of your left knee.

You need the short but heavy harness that connects to those 2 plugs, it comes with a 7-pin plug and a metal mounting bracket. You'll also need an adapter to convert the 7-pin round plug down to the flat 4-pin plug.

As noted above, this is the part you need from Toyota:

You will then need any easily available 7-pin to 4-pin adapter like this or similar:
