Hey Guys

I know my AC Compressor in my 85 FJ60 is a Nippendenso, but can anyone tell me which one to positivley ID it? I am trying to figure it out so i can find a clutch for it (hopefully a double pulley).

I checked my Compressor for # and only see these:

-6E
-6P148A
-047200-691

Any ideas? Anyone know if it is the FS6, FS7, or FS15, or do any of those #'s sound right?

Thanks
Kevin

Seem's to me the numbers are something like "10P15" for the compressor but the clutch and pulley are interchangeable with most other Nippondenso compressors. I found the same one on Acura's and on some Hyundai models. In all my searching I never saw a double pulley nor did I see one with the right offset for the belts on the 'Cruiser.
There were different compressors though. Mine has 4 bolts, running perpendicular to the compressor axis and at each "corner", holding it to the mount. I've also seen Nippondenso compressors on 'Cruisers with the bolts running parallel to the compressor axis.

Thanks

I narrowed it down to finding out my compressor is Nippo Model # 6P148A

Now i just have to find a double pulley for it! I know there gotta be one out there

Thanks
Kevin

To my knowledge Toyota has never used a two groove pulley on any A/C compressors. I do not remember seeing one. Of course I have forgotten a lot in the last 25 years too...:whoops:

I sort of remember seeing a Dodge truck with an ND-looking compressor and that had two grooves. It was a 318 or a 360 and early 90's........
