Hey folks trying to figure out what’s supposed to be connected here. Recently bought the car and came like this so I literally have no idea. I was thinking the Pesky heater hose but seems to look different from what I see on previous post about it unless it was messed with by the previous owner.

Rear heater delete

The rear heater is generally deleted when the hard lines on both sides of the engine block become rusted and leak. To replace the hard lines you have to pull the engine. The lines can also be replaced with longer sections of flexible heater hose. Check beneath the passenger seat to see if the heater is even still there. When I deleted mine, I took the heater out and freed up a bunch of space. If the heater unit is still there, I am sure someone will let you know where to connect. I can not remember.

You need to know why it was disconnected first.
If the heater hard-lines between the engine and the firewall are leaking, you can't change them without pulling the engine and trans.
If the rear heater hard lines are leaking, replacements are available.

Assuming you have a 1FZ engine:

Also, start replacing all the hoses. That style of clamp is original to the truck. They may have been replaced before but I prefer soft and supple over hard and brittle.

@Comet makes a good point. Take a look at your heater valve. If it looks like this one:

brown or tannish, it's crispy and ready to fail. It that condition it can be crumbled in your hand.

Could you tell us a little about your rig? year, mods?
How long have you owned it?
Was it always a NE truck?

Yeah I started replacing them that’s why I came across that one.

Yeah it’s a 1997, yeah always a NE truck and a few days short of a month. Thanks for the chart

The engine bay photos tell the story, Long Island = rust, very likely why the rear heater was deleted, the rear heater pipes corroded from the road salt/brine.
