Where to WINDSHEILDS?

I'll mention it to the guys from Yankee Toys to see if anyone else needs to get one.

Find out where all the local hotrodders hang out and ask them. They'll know who the local "go-to" glass guy is.

The problem with windshield places nowadays is that they don't cut ANYTHING anymore. Most of them just order the right glass from the warehouse, and pay someone $8/hour to do the installation.

I found a little hole-in-the-wall place that does mine for $75 installed. He wasn't even listed under windshield repair since 99% of his work is non-automotive, but he's the only shop I know of anywhere in the Seattle area that will custom cut safety glass.

This is true. Found one around the corner from my house that didn't even have a sign on it. He cut custom glass for only a couple clients, but cut me a hardtop side panel glass for $18.

$500 is ridiculous.

I'll go with the get it cut at a shop crowd, I think mine was $50 installed. I watched them cut it. Kinda cool how they do it. They scribe both sides then heat the sheet by dosing it with alcohol and lighting it on fire. Then they tap the glass and break it just like single layer glass.
