We will be traveling through TN and will be staying the night in Knoxville or surrounding area and then getting up early and heading further east. Where should we stay so that the girls and I and the stuff in the truck are safe? Prefer to stay close to the interstate if possible. Thanks

Around the Sevierville exit are plenty of hotels, we stayed at a Fairfield Inn there recently.

Thanks.

We stayed at the Crowne Plaza a couple times and got a screaming deal on Priceline. It has under ground secure parking and is not far from the interstate and walking distance from food and drink.

Agreed that Knoxville is a pretty good area. Since you are passing thru, it kinda depends on where you decide to stop. On the east side there is the Lovell road exit. An area called turkey creek. Several hotels and there is a target, walmart and lots of restaurants if you are looking for that. Further east you have the strawberry plains exit, there are a few hotels and a few restaurants. Around seiverville you are getting close to the smokies and this time of year you may see prices reflect it.

One other thing is to check the UT football schedule if you are coming thru on a home weekend, you may want to try and get a reservation cause those folks are a little nuts about their football.

Blew right through there and made it all the way to Bristol. Stopped for night in Roanoke. Will be heading back through Monday or Turesday.
