Where to run wires/hoses through firewall?

Well, the title pretty much explain it, but where can I run wires and hoses through the firewall? My thinking is for a vacuum gauge, wires for lights, ...

The wiring harness goes through the firewall on both the right and left sides. You can usually squeeze a few more wires through there.

there is a good sized grommet on the passenger side firewall just to the right of the heater core tubes.
