So I'm thinking of mounting them to the wind fairing/spoiler on the back of my 100. Anyone else done this?

I can't mount to my roof rack, otherwise, it'll hit garage when I park it inside. Anywhere between roof rack and rear door, the lights will get hit when I lift the rear hatch. I don't care about the spoiler. I'd consider tossing it, but seems like a convenient place to drill a hole and simply mount on both outside corners, with the lights angled back, and slightly down.

Any thoughts on this are appreciated.

The spoiler comes off in 2 minutes with 4 little bolts. The two stanchions that it bolts to might make pretty good mounting points for lights.

Hmmm, I thought about that but did not realize there was something there to mount to. I'll take it off and check it out. Thank you!

Im thinking to the back edge of your roof rack-if they are low profile enough. Your front light bar clears right?

I have these in my bumper- and they put out a LOT of light. These mounted to your rack would not stick up at all. Prob sit flush with the back edge.

What about the LabRak Rear Deck Lid Light Mount? It's made to replace the spoiler but still use the existing mounting locations. Perfect for a pair of cubes and you can run the power wires through the top of the hatch. Pictures taken from their website.

I kept the deflector, keeps dust off the back in Moab and other dusty areas.

I built a spacer block, and mounted them right up.

Check out my signature for the write up, page 10 is where it starts on the lights.

Solid, easy, reversible. I did drill a hole in the 3rd brake light to pass the wires through into the hatch.
