I am looking for a Luk clutch for my 78 FJ40, I see a few on e-bay around $175 plus shipping is that a good price? seems like a good price to me. These are supposed to be good clutch kits from what I hear.:meh:
I also need some other gaskets, seals, hoses ect. and would like to get OEM, where is the best place for that? CruiserDan?
I don't have a dealer near me.:crybaby:

Thanks

i've actually had very good luck with luk. no pun intended. i like using them for most applications, otherwise i always try to go oem. LUK is the oem supplier for gm, chrysler and other major car manufacturers...........

it's pretty common practice for the larger clutch manufacturers to purchase some of the compontnts in their kits from other manufacturers to keep production costs down.

$175 for one of their kits for the 2f is not a bad deal. i can see what my cost is if you want.

If you can let me know right away, I need to order one tommarow. I can get one for $168 and $25 shipping. If you can do the same or better I will get it from you.

Napa here has a sign in the window saying they sell luk clutches

I recently bought and installed a Luk clutch kit for my 3spd to 4 Spd conversion at $175 from eBay and Colorado. It works great! I have tested it on a level 5 trail in the rocks of AZ high country. It never slipped. I researched all and the Luk was the best deal and I'm impressed with the performance.

Thanks, that is the place I was looking at on e-bay. I am going to order one today.
