Cool Cruisers. Gonna trust your 40 to a recore?

Cool cruisers will sell you the same radiator as radiator barn for the same price plus about 35 bucks.

I'm happy with the malaysian radiator barn radiator.

i have decided to recore mine.....

Not trying to sound like an a****** but your making a stupid decision, for the price you pay for a recore, around 100 bux, you could pay 60 more and get a brand new radiator from radiatorbarn which is where i got mine, i've had it for 2 years, on the trail and everyday driving , never goes over 190 degrees.

Ok here's a question for you. When searching for a radiator am I looking for the radiator for my 78 cruiser or for my chevy 350 in the cruiser? Just want to make sure I'm looking for the correct one.

Thanks

Ok so a radiator from radiator barn is going to cool as well as the downey or man-a-fre? Dont get me wrong, but there is a huge price difference. And the other question is the one radiator barn has listed fora fj 40 is that going to cool my 350? Im also ready to buy a radiator and want only the good stuff that is going to keep the pretty girl cool!

You'll never match the quality of the brass tanks with anything aftermarket. If they're good enough to recore, I'd say it's worth an extra Benjamin to save the stocker.

The one radiator barn sells is brass tanks and copper core, BTW.

If you have went through the trouble to swap the motor, swapping in a higher capacity radiator might be worth considering. The extra margin of cooling you can get by using a aluminum 19X26 dual core radiator is nice. The generic GM from AFCO, Summit, Jegs may be worth the consideration. Fabbing up a support is pretty easy, there are lots of examples people have posted. You can even go bigger depending on what/if power steering you have. I think it would be hard to have too much capacity. Especially when you have PS/tranny coolers, winches, or AC condensors covering up parts of the radiator too.
