Some people wonder why we live in California...I wonder why they don't.

No doubt...

Some people have swing sets in their back yards...We have the Pacific Ocean, the Sierra Nevada, the San Lucia, Death Valley, and the list goes on and on and on...

This is my back yard view of the Pacific from the 2nd floor balcony....beach over to the right just out of frame. A little scary with the earthquake and tsunami risk but hey....nothing comes for free.

Baja Cruiser94: Looks like you went down to Mision (Mission) Santa Maria. Did you make it up and down that windowmaker hill without issue?

I'm blown away by the amount of Utah pics!

Don, how do you like that James Baroud RTT?

Well, that was the maiden voyage and I have to say I'm fairly impressed. Mattress is nice and firm, material heavy and taunt, no noise or creaking under relatively high/gusty winds. The included LED light and solar fan worked well. Ladder is sturdy.

My only complaint is pulling it down. You have to start at the front and it is real tough for one person to get it started. The rest is cake. Nice to be able to leave all your bedding setup and ready to go for the next spot.

Compared to the AutoHome's out right now, I think it is a better built product.

Oh, and I really don't notice it is up there. And since Lexey is garaged at home and at work, I think I'm just going to leave it on.

Funny, i have one too, except it's the space evo edition (kind of wedge shaped) and that's my only compliant. I told the guys that at OK off road that i bought it from. I told them that with two people closing it is easier, but the gas struts are too strong and can be difficult to close.

It's kind of a double edged sword, they want the tent to pop open quick and stay sturdy in the wind, but, they need to find a better way to close them since those struts are powerful!

Yup, widowmaker was conquered with no issues, one of our team brought a Bronco and he punctured a tire going up, but that was due to careless tire placement.
Actually, theres some challenging 90 degree steps or ledges thru the trail that are getting pretty eroded and they are fun to climb.

Yes..it's a very nice area for surfing. The bay right in front of my house is known all over Japan to have one of the best reef breaks when the swell is pumping. It's called B Point..thus my user name. I'm a long time kayak surfer...

Awesome pictures!....
