I'm seriously looking at a used FJ100 but it doesnt have roof rails which I really need to fit Yakima bars. I had an FJ80 some years ago and ordered and had them installed by the local dealer but I can't seem to find FJ100 ones. Then, if I can find them who best does the installation? Many thanks.

If you're looking for an OEM roof rack (longitudinal rails with cross bars), I've got one. PM me if you'd like to talk more.
Let me decide if I'm getting this one first then I'll contact you. Thanks for the offer and response.

Everyone who has an African Outback, Frontrunner or Eezi-awn roof rack uses, as part of the system, an extruded aluminum type track which, IMO, is nicer than the factory rack.

-Mounts are infinitely adjustable
-You can mount Yakima control towers to it (not confirmed for all tracks)
-Lower profile than Yakima/Thule/Etc mounted on the OE rack
-Super low profile when accessories are removed

Whether they are available separately, I don't know. I purchased AO tracks a la carte, years ago from Slee.
I do see Frontrunner as well as many other companies selling universal tracks but I don't know how you would bend it to the contour of the roof without a tube bender.

Here's a good picture of @SmoothLC Yakima Control towers w/ landing pads mounted to some FR tracks.

Thule makes a fit kit so you can use their rack system without an OEM rack. It clamps at the door. I have the same set up on my 1994 4Runner and it works great.

I would assume Yakima has the same thing.
