OK verry much appriciate your advise ! thanks 1000 times !!

You mean that the hardtop dont start to bother me with noises or ? (my english is little basic):hillbilly:

I think Crushers was warning against exhaust fumes entering the cabin through holes in the body, something to think about when buying a used vehicle.

Which country are you in?

Car has 270.000kms in the advertisement so i gues its about 400.000.

is it wise to change the (expensive:frown:) waterpump also ?

thermostat was 35euro so that i already ordered as well as the radiater hoses fuel-air-oil filters alternator belt and diff oil.:wrench::steer:

Yes verry verry much !

And i saw also a red one with the roof of that was also yours if i remember right.

But my question ? about the waterpump ? ;)

water pump
get the starter checked out by someone that actually will take it apart and look inside
same with the alternator
belts
hoses
head gasket leaking?
injectors rebuilt
injector pump rebuilt

there is almost a limitless list of things you can do for preventative maintenance governed by the thickness of your wallet

i loved that old white rig but i enjoy the red one more ... although, i feel i might be getting bored with it.

:

If its pumping coolant, not making any noise or leaking,I would leave it. Who knows ,it may have been replaced in recent years.
Most of the time ,water pumps give you some warning they are on their way out.

Huhm then i can also first drive home the 1100kms before i replace the govorner diafraghm or would that be risky ?

(at home i can realy take my time to explore the whole thing and i save me money of a mechanic doing it for me) (if there even is an mechanic that has experince with this enginepart)

yah, if it isn't reving now then drive it but plan on at least taking a look once you get home.

if they are in good shape
(jack up the wheel, grab top and bottom and push in at the top while pulling out at the bottom and reverse, if tight then good shape. rotate and listen and feel for rough or grinding, if not then in good shape)
((grab front and rear of tire, pull and push each way, if tight then okay))
drive home

get a dual mass flywheel ( or lightened flywheel), spins easier , less stain. get it machined every time a clutch goes in, if it machines all good, keep it. If it doesn't come up smooth, it's time for a new one. simple;)
