Hey Everyone, a sad story if you've seen it on facebook. Two wheelers were killed in a serious roll-over. I believe Jason at Cruising OffRoad worked on their build several years ago.

Sad news. Followed them on Youtube.

Got a text from a friend over the weekend, this was the first news story. Conflicting accounts so
nice to get facts sorted. Sad day when such dynamic energy is lost and impacts us all.

Was really shocked and saddened to see this news. I really believed that this lovely Vancouver Island couple were breaking out in the overlanding space and expected more amazing things from them. They were far more adventurous and creative than any other vloggers I’d come across before. For instance, they’d put a Toyota Chinook body on an 80 series chassis and drove that to Argentina. They also flew to New Zealand where they bought and fixed up a truck to overland there.

The fella’s running commentary is poetic and they were a joy to watch both from a gearhead perspective (truck builds) as well as for natural scenery.

Really sad. RIP and condolences to their family and friends
I enjoyed the videos of theirs I’ve seen. And appreciated how they were able to live the dream building cool stuff and then hitting the road where real adventures lie. They seemed like real good people. Hits a bit harder that they died on the specific trail near my home that motivated me to fix up my own truck to explore the mountains this summer.

I remain super puzzled as to how the tragedy occurred despite so much driving experience and a properly built rig. Can you provide some insight about the trail? Is there a dangerous section with a really unstable surface?
