Anyway, if there is another common date that works for the majority of people (or dates that simply don't work), post up!

We are available on
8/30
9/6
9/13
9/20
I prefer to stay away from Sunday runs unless it's a 2 day event.

Found it. Does each chapter forum set their own defaults?

It doesn't seem to default back to show all threads for me either. I can change it but it returns to only display threads from the last month once I logoff. I sent woody a PM, we'll see what he says.

Saturday the 6th is good for me.

We are going to a "Friends of Marlin" event at the hotsprings superlift park if anyone is interested...just let me know....

Sept 19-21

I sure would like to make a run to Washita before the TAC Flat Nasty event.

Is anyone else up for the 6th?

6th looks good for me. I think wfd is in as well.

And I think STLCruiser said the 6th was good, and I know several others emailed me about the 6th, so it looks like we finally have a date!

Of course, when I returned on Monday I learned that there is a chance I won't be able to make the Washita run or even the TAC run due to a possible office move - but what the hell, I can't sit around waiting for that so I'll just plan on being there.

I'd also strongly recommend that everyone have working communications. I know there are no hams and no current interest, but if everyone at least has a CB with a few miles tx/rx range that should be good enough for us to find each other.

I'll again propose channel 15 as its a good center of the band channel for SWR purposes and seems to be infrequently used.

I also propose an early departure even though Washita is comparatively close - but that's just b/c it is easier for me to go if I leave early (when no one misses me anyway) and return in time for dinner. Somehow a 5pm return doesn't cause a problem whereas a 7pm return results in complaints that I was "gone all day" :frown:

Same here,

I need to be back by 4:00. In anticipation of sliders, in the next couple months, should I remove running boards early for this run or keep them on? Do they help or hurt?

Keep the running boards on as a reminder you're getting close. Take off the mud flaps of course. I'd rather find the limit with the boards than the body.

Early is good with us. I will have CB opperational for this run.

Would meeting at the park entrance be OK?
What time does the park open?

I'm always in favor of leaving early enough to grab a quick breakfast and/or coffee - but meeting at the park is no problem if we all have communications working.

I don't even have the directions to Washita handy - so maybe someone can post them up again.

Also, for those who have been before, is there cell phone coverage in or near the park? If so, we can also coordinate the meeting via cell phone (which doesn't work so well for spotting and quick group reminders while wheeling, but should work fine for meeting up).

cell phone coverage is spotty in the park. It does work fine until about the last couple of miles. I'll try to find the directions and post them.

We could do breakfast if you have a place in mind that is easy to get to. We are about 2 hours away from Farmington. The :princess: is not a morning person but I twist her arm just right and she will comply.

I'm still in (though I still need to find a baby-sitter).

I think we have a meeting place - McD in Farmington.

I'll monitor the standard club CB channel 15 on the way down on the morning of the trip and throughout the day (my hope is that we all have communications throughout the day - makes the trail runs easier.

I'll also monitor any VHF or UHF freqs desired in the off chance anyone else is on 2m or 70cm - just let me know.

Does 7am in Farmington sound good or is that too early?

7:00 am in Farmington is good with me. For those coming from St. Louis, is there a place on 55 to meet up and follow?

Steve
