Its been a while and things tend to change. Who is still a go for this?

Do you guys typically meet around 8:30 to be on trails by 9 or do you guys get there earlier? Just wanna make sure I'm not holding up the group.

Yes Gary, I have a seat for you. Gearing up to head out shortly.

@FuglyYota
You coming out?
I am not. Too many things going on at the home front, and wife has to keep her head down as she’s studying for her teacher credentials. So I’ve got the girls and their activities. Will be 100% there for July, campsite is secured and I took the time off.

Well it was somewhat of a short day on the trails...............had three trucks, Andy in his truck with JT riding shotgun, Chris in his 80 hauling me around in the passenger seat, and Benji in his 4runner. After airing down and shooting the breeze we got out of the lot just as it was getting busy. Chris in the lead we did a few blues off trail 17 on our way to the predetermined destination, trail 555 Whiskey ridge. A little bit of spotting was needed here and there but all was going well till we got to the first gnarly spot on Whiskey Ridge. The guys were explaining to me how Crusha's 80 got onto it's side at this spot when Benji blew the outboard U-joint on his driver side front axle. JT heard it, I was spotting and didn't. The 4 runner was in a bad position on several large rocks and in 2WD couldn't move forward or backwards.
After thinking it over we decided to winch him into a position where we could actually get him to be able to help move his truck under its own power but with winch help. A few tugs later and judicious use of a snatch block got the 4Runner headed in the right direction. With Andy winching the 4Runner was able to get off the bad part of the trail and onto easier trails. He was able to drive it back toward the staging area under it's own power in 2WD, we picked trails 17 and 41 to get back to the main road. We stopped for lunch for a bit then headed right to the parking area. The guys got the truck jacked up, removed the front driveshaft and left front axle, and he was ready to drive back to Willow Grove! All in a day's work on the trails and thankfully able to drive home without needed a two truck or rollback.
Since our guys were earlier than most, check in was a breeze they had two girls doing registration in the little building where they sell shirts and stuff. By the time we got back to the staging area in the afternoon, the lot was filled with tow vehicles and trailers. It's amazing how popular this park is and what a difference from the emptiness I see at Rausch Creek's lot these days. mazing. Somebody please tell me why Rausch's prices are so much higher than at AOAA???!!! Anyway another day of wheeling in the books. Looking forward to next month's adventures based in the Twin Grove campground. Stay tuned!

Blew the cage apart. Sad part is I had spares that I forgot in my garage. New guys…. Am I right? Guess it's time to reboot and stretch mod the OEM spares I have at home and throw them in. Already ordered an additional spare OEM and will get a second and reboot them as well and they will never leave the back of the truck.
