Hey ya'll. I've done some searching for this but to no avail. I am interested in getting some methods on my 96' 80 series but I am told and have read that the front wheels can clear the hubs without machining, but the rear must be machined to clear the hub. My question is: Will a wheel spacer (1") pull the rim away enough from the hub to avoid the machining issue?

My friend has some methods on his rig, runs a 1.25 spider trax spacer that’s all he did, he also needed more back space to clear his set up. Some of them fit with out machine work, nor spacer, believe depends on which series of wheel and other factors

I'm looking g at some 703s or 315s. The bore says 106.25mm on both. Then I "add my vehicle" and all it says is i can't use the caps on the front. Is that them saying they will clear the hubs? I've heard that the rear hub on an 80 series is 106.5mm not allowing them to seat correctly.

I'm not sure on the 80, but my 60 series with locking hubs and a full float rear I ran a 2" spacer.

The fronts were for backspace. They also pushed out the 703's smaller bore outside the hub, letting it clear without modification. They would have probably cleared with a 1.25", but I never tested that.

The rears would fit without spacers, but require the bore to be milled out to fit the hub.
