Chase, 1.5 yr old lab bc mix. male.
and My wife has a damn Min pin named, persephone. or perci, in her defense it came from her sister already named.

The royal family are a bunch of dogs, just stick your head out the door and call "Queenie, Prince, Duke" and see what shows up.

I think you just need to get a feel for the dog and thier opersonality before you pick a name.

Standard Poodles are kick ass dogs. Not that many in Reno, just the people in the know have them.

I've been around them since I was a kid in the PNW. They are smarter than hell, tough as nails, very protective, and great family dogs. It's kind of like owning a big plush toy that can be mean as a junk yard dog when provoked.

Huxley is a male Yellow Lab (named after Aldous Huxley by my sister) and Cassie (Casi) is my Black Lab. Both around 9 years old and both are the most loving animals you could ever know.

They give way more than they could ever take.

I've got a black lab/border collie mix that my wife and I adopted from the pound. She looks like a 35 pound black lab. Super smart and very energetic. We named her Sadie, and we can't wait until she grows out of that puppy energy. You can really see the border collie (sheep dog) in her by the way she runs back and forth between mom and dad when we are in different rooms of the house trying to "herd" us back together. Great dog...very protective, smart, and loving.
