I need to mount some ditch lights on my GX, but I'd like for them to be removable. What's your favorite removable ditch light?
Also, it would be great to mount my Ghost GMRS antenna on it too.
Thanks,

Clarify removable? There are magnetic mounts that you just stick on the hood but in my opinion those aren't great for a GX. They position the lights too far forward so they are in your field of view and not a great spot if you want an actual ditch light. I'm pretty sure every LED pod you could use as a ditch light only has 1 bolt to hold it to whatever mount you choose. So if you go with a bolt on mount, you can easily remove the actual light pods and no one will notice the mounts.

I have Baja S2 wide cornering lights on Cali Raised mounts. The Cali Raised mounts are very low profile and super solid. The S2s are a great shape for an actual ditch light.

Yeah, I was thinking magnetic, but I think you convinced me otherwise. Those Cali Raised mounts and lights look like the ticket. I wonder if I can also mount my Ghost GMRS antenna to one of those brackets.

What were you planing on doing about the wiring? Just use water proof male/female connectors and keep them tucked under the hood when not in use?

I use M6 nut inserts in my Baja lights with CaliRaised low profile brackets. I have an extra pair of AC Delco connectors filled with silicone to cap off the wiring under the hood.

Sea Sucker has some cool options for mounting all sort of things, including lights and rotopax / maxtrax. They make mounts like you want that are super fast to install and remove. You would just have to wire you lights in a way where you can easily unplug them, but my Baja Designs have all included a short pigtail off the light that would make you set up super easy.

That's a novel way of mounting! I'd just worry when the paint gets too hot, you'll lose vacuum.
It happens to my paper towel holder when I stick it to the rear window.
Amazon product ASIN B0759VRV1FIt works great when at a camp site but if I leave it on all the time the heat will make it drop.

It's not just a push to stick suction cup though. Thisnis a pump to suction mount, just like the ones they use to move granite slabs. They have mounts that hold Thule roof boxes and roof top tents, I have no doubt it'll hold a light. I have a buddy that was sponsored by them for SEMA and got to check them out. Initially I had the same reaction, but after seeing them, they'll be just fine holding whatever you want.
