what's the deal with the UZJ-100 turbo?

will you get forced induction for your 2UZ-FE in the future?

Damn it Christo, do you really have the turbo for the UZJ-100? Now that I've pieced together a TRD s/c for a Sequoia plus an ECU for my UZJ-100, and will be installing them next week, I see your avatar you got a turbo now??!!?!!

How about a turbo for the 1FZ-FE?

having driven both, the turbo wins hands down. Catch is not Carb legal and you have to do some tuning. Also way more $'s.

Working on that. The kit exists, but we have to do some adapting for US trucks.

No plans for forced induction of any sort.

However, I would prefer the turbo set up over the TuRD Supercharger. Why? Because the TuRD products suck, they do not adequately address fuel system mods and they all run lean. Bottom line, bad product with bad support.

Slee is onto something here if he can designs a nice turbo system that will work as designed.

I agree. I have heard of nothing but problems from the 3.4 factory sc kits and the 4.7 kit is now pulled from the market. IF I had the discretionary income, i'd save up a little more and go turbo. Right now I've got a 911 engine I'm about to start rebuilding so it comes before 100 mods.

I've got the 3.0. My 911 is a black market car brought in through Florida when new so it has no emissions equip., and higher compression already. The euro spec rough numbers put me at about 30hp over a US market 911.

I'm not sure what extra goodies I'm gonna do yet :) I've got a cracked head stud so I'll be tearing it down most likely and I may do a little hotter cam or some other trinkets. Bumping up to a 3.2 is a thought that has crossed my mind recently. The old girl weighs in at around 2400-2500lbs so it's alot of fun to throw around, esp with a little more juice.

Drove an RS America once in the early 90's. Pretty cool ride.

I love the flat 4 and flat 6 air cooled motors, lots of fun. I've only worked on the VW stuff though, I've have not owned a Porsche YET. Nothing compares to the rear drive rear engine configuration:cheers:

It's pretty easy to appreciate power to weight ratios when you see those low curb weights:) 20-30 extra ponies in a 911 means something:)

LX - Dont you already have twin turbo's

Must say, after seeing the trubo on Christo's last night I think if I were ever to own a 100 i'd go that way. A very clean instal to. Plus it sounds good.

It does sound awesome that's for sure. I'd love to ride in it and then a stock 100

Yeah!

Why'd they cheap out and go with a Single turbo design when a twin is CLEARLY better for a V8?????

Nah, Turbo's are cool no matter how you slice em!
