I’ve done a LS swap, and made some hard line to hose connections for the oil & AT cooling systems. What is the tool called that makes that little ridge around the hard line, that helps the hose clamp keep the hose on the hard line ?

Bubble flare tool?

Post it up if you find it. I’m interested also for smaller hard lines. Is it the same as a flaring tool?

Bubble flare tool, I believe as state above:

Incorrect, a bubble flare is very different than a tube bead roll

Try this or search for any of these

Bead rolling tool, or tube beading tool, tube bead former.

Finally got around to this project. Ended up, using a small file to “rough” a ring around the aluminum hard line, then put a small ridge of JB Weld around the hard line.

letting it fully cure overnight (old hose is hard enough to remove later, even worse if it’s epoxyed to the hardline!!!), but it looks like a substantial improvement over a straight naked hard line. Beading tools didn’t look like they’d be worth the $$$.
