What’s she worth? 2008 LX570 @ 160k miles

My buddy bought this a few years ago with 125k miles, and now it’s at 160k. Originally sold in Houston, and has service records up to 105k on drivers.lexus site.

AHC works, but the globes are shot. ($600 parts + $600-1000 labor?)
AC Recirc door works
looks like radiator has been replaced
Exterior is pretty rough. The clear bra can be removed, but lots of scratches.
Windshield is original, but has rock chips.

I’ll probably take it to CarMax for a baseline offer, but wondering what you guys think he should list it at?

What's the rust situation like? Hard to say what it's worth as it stands, but cleaned up and fully serviced you are probably looking at 25-30k in this market. You would have to decide it's worth it to clean it up or let it go cheap "as is" for 20k-25k. There are a lot of guys looking to get in a 200 but the 30K+ price tags keep them out of the market. You may have more buyers at a lower price point and let them do the work.

My guess would be 22-24k as it sits and maybe 26 if it was cleaned up a bit and had the globes changed. But I'm a cheap ass, so who knows.

A few hours with a PDR guy ($200), some paint restoration ($500ish), a solid interior detail ($250) and the globes replaced ($1600) and I bet she brings $28K easily in this market.

If you haven't already, you might want to try to see if any trouble codes are showing up in Techstream. It's possible that something else might be wrong with the system.

Im guessing carmax will say $22,500 for this, were in not for this market 10-20% less. A little work and id say it can get to $27,500 elsewhere. Paint correction and globes will be pricey though.

There are also a ton of good leather people in houston that can make that driver seat look new for a couple hundred bucks. I had a few in mind for my 100 before i left the state. Matter fact just about anything you need there is an army of tradespeople in Houston. My friend said it best, if you have a heartbeat you can run a successful business in Houston

This 2008 is bone stock and has never been offroad (what a shame)! Purchased in Houston in 2019, which means it only got 44k miles put on her in 5 years. Black Exterior, Tan Interior Stock suspension - no modification to AHC, and has brand new globes and AHC has been fully flushed (by me)...
