What's needed to put a trollhole carb on single barrel 1f.

I think I have most of the answers but I’m trying to line everything up before I take the plunge.

I have a very tired single barrel asin on a 69 1f it runs rich when the idle circuits works and it’s started working intermittently before and after rebuilding it. Oh did I mention Toyota only made it for 6 months and the throttle shaft leaks? All kinds of awesome.
If I go with a trollhole carb I need the following:

Updated carb base plate
Updated air filter cover from a 1f with a 2 barrel carb
Throttle linkage should work fine.
Choke should work fine.

What do I do about the metal vacuum feed line for the distributor?


I can move to a later model distributor like this one if need be.

What’s my best move here?

That looks like a vac retard dizzy. Lets see the inside of it.

Vac retard or vac advance? I was under the impression both were vac advance with one having option to set octane.

You can cut the line on the copper tube and just add a section of rubber vac line. Use the one in the vise as a conversation piece.
