Greetings and salutations. I’m new here and am looking for some feedback. My step dad lives in Colombia. He restored a ‘78 FJ40 and had it shipped to my uncle in Oregon where he had it registered and titled.
From what he’s told me it’s all original but I haven’t set eyes on it since I’m in PA.
He’s asked me to help him sell it so I figured asking enthusiasts for some info would be a good first step.
Here are some pictures of the truck

Just go in and delete the whole thread or ask a moderator to do it for you.

Then repost it here which is the correct section for FJ-40’s and your question:

That forum is more active with more users who will be better able to give you a market value. However, as with most SA restorations there will be a lot of scrutiny due to how many of them have been imported with subpar restoration work. I’m not implying that is what was done here. Just giving you a heads up.

So I can repost properly in the correct area.
Thank you!

it is not a 1978 it is most likely 1981+
nice looking rig

You can check Bring a Trailer for what FJ40's have sold for recently, enough details on old auctions to check condition & compare. May not be fully realistic but should give an idea of a general price range. Land Cruiser FJ40 - https://bringatrailer.com/toyota/fj40/
Scroll down and you'll see past auctions, dates and prices.

I would think swapping on a set of stock-ish looking wheels will help on value. Appears to be a pretty clean truck.
