I love those KTM's. Man they do a nice bike. Rode an 09 Adventure fior a few days, and loved it... except for the snatchy throttle. I would possibly be on an SMT except for that issue.

Not my garage, but I finally got the crucial bits back together. Tank had a major rust problem, so I had to seal it and clean out the petcock. I've replaced most of the cables, found a stock headlight setup, put together a rack for the back, and a few other things. This is the first time I hit the start button since last Thanksgiving.

The throttle is a bit "snatchy" but I'm used to it(my old KTM LC4 was the same way); the soft as a brick saddle is my only gripe, a Renazco or something similar is definitely in the future.

1980-81 J model?

I had a '79 MKII and my buddy had '80 J and we terrorized Halifax and Dartmouth. We took a racing course and we were hot s*** back then. Wearing out hte footpegs and the sides of our boots.

Good times for sure.
