Yeah, I couldn't get the 40 sold in time. And by "in time" I mean the MONTHS that the seller of the 55 patiently waited on me. So, after much , I realized that my destiny lies along a shorter wheelbase path.

Wheel the 80, tow it with the 40. Make the 80 the trail rig

So, I decided to the the knuckle rebuild. Does anyone have a hub socket that I could borrow?

Thanks, but I'm just going to break down and get one of my own. I'll probably have to do the knuckles on the 80 in the next few months anyway.

Up to you. I bought mine from IPOR. It was twenty-something dollars after shipping, but it is 3/8" drive, and I have a 1/2" drive torque wrench, so I've got the adapter. I just used a beam wrench for the bearings job. Like I said, you're free to borrow any of the above.

Well, I got the rear diff out and the rear oil seals in last night. I'm hoping to tackle the rest of this today.
