Just a "what's up"?
How was everyone's holidays, anything happening w/ rigs, any parts or projects??

Mrs. Clause got me a 12k warn winch!! Gonna try and get that hooked up this week before my shoulder surgery!!

Nice score!

I must have been on the "Nice" list too. Instead of coal, I got a satellite phone.

As far as projects I've been mostly helping Harry with stuff. My Super Duty will be in an upcoming issue of Peterson's. Not as a feature rig though, as a tech article.

RAD!!!
That a nice thing to have out in BFE!!
What issue is your rig gonna be in?

Cool * 2 !!

Santa was nice to me too... got a Yaesu FTM-400DR. Got it half installed on Saturday before deciding I'd better redo my accessory power... so ordered a Blue Sea fuse box to mount on top of the stock under-the-hood fuse/relay box... in the mean-time, my dash is in a dozen pieces :)

Finally got some free time and was able to drop the seat frames on the 63 an inch. Wish I could drop the passenger another 1/2 but somebody put a gas tank in there. Now if I could just tear down the steering wheel to fix the blinkers then I could drive at night, but hey, we're past the solstice.

Got my quad back, shop fixed the tweaked front hub only to find a big puddle on the other side where that seal failed. It's not so much the $90 labor fee to fix it, but the whole reason I take it to the "pro's" is to save myself the time but thats shot to heck with all the back and forth trailer time. It must be Monday because I'm feeling a little bitchy.

Should get the '68 back this week. But then I've been saying that since Sept. I'll be putting in the full cage that's been in the middle of my garage since last Christmas. I need to figure out how to use the Ready Welder I bought off ebay last year to tack the cage. A couple spots on top will be hard for the floor welder to reach.

Wow, where did 2013 go?

I guess I was bad?? I had to drop the 74 off in Boise and now have an empty garage with no 40 in it!! My 69 is still......in Portola getting some bugs worked out. Maybe I will get a New years gift?? Keith hope your sugery goes well I guess that puts you out for New Years huh?

I guess I was pretty good this year. Mrs. Clause and Mother-in-Law Clause got me some Amazon gift cards so I have new rear hatch struts coming as well as a SmittyBilt console. Still have yet to get the drivers side seat reupholstered but that is just due to being busy.

Big present was a new camera! My old 20D body finally kicked the bucket about a year ago and have been wanting something new. Over Thanksgiving I was able to find an EOS-M Kit for less than $300 shipped so that was my big gift... Great little camera so far!

I went up to Hunter Lake on Christmas Eve with my cousins' kids, that was great. They all have Cherokees that are mildly modified and I brought my Tracker out and we had a bunch of fun just playing around for the day. My F150 is at Nate's Precision getting Super Duty axles and 460 swap. That has been the big project, but the work they are turning out is top notch. Also helped J put an Old Man Emu lift on his Super Duty, that will be in the May issue of Petersen's.

I am planning to take my mini truck to Winter Fun Festival at the end of January, it would be nice if some Land Cruisers went because last year it seemed like it was all Wranglers!

We've all been so isolated from each other!!

Shane,
My surgery is the 10th... Im basically on call right up to the date of surgery, though!! :(

I haven't done squat to my 'cruiser in over a month. I'm at the point where I have to straighten some panels and do the body work/paint prep and I just don't have a clue what I'm doing. The result is me doing nothing. :(

I'm so close too!!!

Lee,
I've done some body work... What's going on??

WEll i havent been doin much lately but gonna start I just got an 86 Chevy 1 ton 4x4 truck to use as a tow rig / work rig did some horse trading for it will have to do some work to it but its not in bad shape overall. so that's my next project is to get that on the road. Also have some gear swaps to do as well so will be busy here very soon. Keith Good Luck on your surgery bud Hope all goes well

Keith: Don't know about your surgery but best of luck with that! Still owe you for helping out with mine last spring!

Hmmm...went to the California Central Coast Cruisers Meet and Greet a couple weeks ago...even drove the 100 :D

After mulling back/forth to move from my Icom 208H to a Kenwood TM-D710A I finally pulled trigger. Getting it installed with all the wires tucked, etc., and getting APRS with push/pull to/from my Lowrance Baja 540C (a HUGE thank you to TrickyT aka Tom Ferrin for helping me sort through all things NMEA 0183 differential mumbojumbo, USB-serial driver/cables, etc....)...getting closer

A car cover for the spressoWAGON was my Christmas gift to myself...the marine air was starting to become an issue. No more.

And walking on the beach with Mr. Rhone :)

Glad to hear you didn't sell the cruiser!!
Hope the new biz is doing good.
I've got a rotator cuff tear that's been in the works for years and it finally let go in June while mountain biking. Hit a rock down hill that slammed my shoulder back in the socket. 3 mos weight restriction and light duty at work!! :(
I'm REALLY NOT HAPPY about this, but I am very much looking forward to getting it fixed. For the last 2 or 3 years, its really been limiting, especially in my work outs, which are as you know, pretty important to me.

Ouch! Several buds have had rotator surgery...as you know PT time is vital for retuned ROM.

Keith,

I have had my family in town this week they will be flying out tomorrow evening so we have been just hanging out. You know you are welcome to come on up if you get too bored we will probably have a few people over tonight to ring in the New Year If you and the wife dont have plans you may like hearing what my family has to say about land issues. Also maybe during your recovery period we can take a run up to Portola and you can give me some pointers on next steps with Bella! I will be in Canada the 15th through the 20th going Heliboarding out of Whislter we will see how the knee holds up we may get a group rate on physical therapy LOL! Best of luck on the surgery if I don't see you before it will be a relief when its all done take it from from a three time loser! I am on my third Knee reconstruction.

I brought my ski equipment for our visit to grandma's place and y'all don't got much snow!!!!

I'm getting really good at changing diapers. And my sewing skills are getting better.

Maybe I should get checked for low T?
