Yes, it works very well for what we do. It is a Front Runner Wind Cheetah v1.
I'm leaning toward the full length version. Any complaints about it? Wind noise? Signs of corrosion (it's a bit more moist up hereo_O)?

No complaints. I've ridden with bikes and skis on a rack for years, so wind noise was expected. I'd just recommend trying to minimize it with a fairing. Here's another photo of the rack on top of the vehicle - I attached a Yakima fairing using their landing pads attached to the FR tracks. Works great. Only thing I would do differently would be to turn the fairing around. I'm not much for advertising brands, etc. Front Runner makes great stuff IMO.

If you rotate the stems the structure become totally flat and very rigid.

You're using aluminum tubing from what looks like hanggliders, bicycle stems and skateboards to build a roof rack?

I thought the guy strapped a ocean going escape pods on top of his rig. I've actually never read more funny stuff on a post asking for folks opinion in almost 10 years on here.
I'm reminded of a guy I saw a few years back. He'd somehow managed to get a whole bull elk on top of a Subaru, (not even a wagon but sedan). He was crawling up Homestake Pass at about 6mph. I felt a bit guilty as I passed him in a longbox quad cab truck.
