Run Forest run! 🏃

plenty of cleaner selections in GA
Rear sway bar bracket has already broken off and rewelded. Lots of rust you cannot see as well. Rockers. Rear wheel well arch. Etc.

Unless it was 500-1000 running and you just want a woods beater it would be a hard pass for me.

Southern shops won’t want to tackle that rust

Best option may be a sandblast and primer job and I’d wager 1500 for that but a guess

Wow, 13k for this dude's arts and crafts project? All that beautiful body work but drilling and tapping new sway bar bracket threads was too much. And someone already scrapped the cats so you have even less to feel like you broke even with.

IMO the rust is bad, is it fixable? Depends on your wallet and commitment to this project.

After watching the video, this was a passion project for him and he customized it to his liking. The downside to that, many of the items are one off and you won't be able to fix/replace, economically, if something breaks. The tuck also has either spray on liner or durabak for the exterior so you would be in for a lot of money if you ever want to change color or repair panels.

The spare mount is definitely unique and will limit you if you ever want to go up in tire size or width. From the video, he has six video series on the truck build but I didn't have tome to watch them all. It looks as though he created the pocket out of steel but I would still worry about flex and/or stress due to the weight and the sheet metal around it.

*TLDR: the attached video is lengthy but he does a walk around starting at 21 min and covers a lot of the mods.

Honestly, he probably has hundreds of hours building the truck and it is unique so if the price is acceptable and you go into knowing the rust is eating away the frame, maybe a frame swap down the road, it is your call. Also, from the pictures, the kitchen cabinet (right rear), fridge and the sleeper panels are not shown. Hopefully they are included.

I have said this several times before but if you are posting about the truck I would assume you have already decided if it is something you want and you are just looking to the echo chamber to either support or negate this inclination.

Lastly, if you do end up deciding on purchasing watch all the videos and save them as they will be your source documents for many of the changes/modifications.
