The tag in the door shows built in Japan 11/94, wouldn't that make it a 95?
All my docs show it as a 94.

It's a 94. The 95 model year started in January 95.

Thanks Dan
I thought they all cheated and called them the next years model after about may?

Here's an easy way to tell...

Got airbags? Yes = 95; No = 94

Does the grill say "T O Y O T A" or does it have the Toyota symbol? Symbol = 95; Letters = 94

I have a 94 that was built in December of 94, bought new in March 0f 95.

Something strange happened at the end of 94, and there was suddenly a large inventory on the dealer lots, selling at reduced prices. I took advantage of it, as did the the original owner of your vehicle.

I've also been told that my 94 has a 95 wiring harness, but I'm not sure if that is or is not correct.

I think they may have had some sort of production issue with the 95's, as they were the first to have airbags. They may have sold off some 94's that were originally intended to be 95's, just to get them moving.

T.
