What year did leather seats become an option on the fj?

would like to upgrade my 88 to leather, but want to try and find one that is being parted out before i go to the expense otherwise. (if it was never an option, i guess i can't find one parting out, right?)

We didnt get the factory leather until @87,thats when they also bought in the carbon fibre dash and climate control

My first Cruiser was an '88 FJ-62 and the previous owner had redone the interior in leather. It looks and smelled great. Lost that rig in a divorce....

This is the best option if you want to keep the stock seats:

leather kits for 60 and 62

AATLAS1X sells (I'm pretty sure it's him) leather kits for the 60 series. Or you could always get some leather fronts from another vehicle.
