200K miles and he's asking 19K...NO!

That's how I feel the add says he has replaced a lot of things. But that still seems like a boat load of cash I was thinking 12k but like I said I do not know much about the market

Yeah, I saw that one too. He's acting like it's a new truck, but he's really just updated the interior and changed some hoses. No major maintenance referenced (axle service, head gasket?)

He's smoking something looking for $20k.

Hard to match this story to the carfax. Two owners in CA before the owner in TX which is before this owner. He's owned 5 months and only put on 3,000 miles.

It is possible that the 2nd owner moved from California to Texas, confusing the reports to be a third owner. It is also possible (and likely) that he drove around on Texas plates for a long time before finally registering it in his name in September 2015.

I hate when sellers make claims that are impossible to back up (Only seen snow once)

Few things I don't like:
-Oil pressure gauge reading low for $19k
-Oil changed multiple times at short intervals (why?)
-essentially an unlicensed dealer
-"locking hubs" - this guy is not as technically savvy on these vehicles as he is leading on
- 20 year old truck with 200k miles "Needs nothing" is BS. That depends on A: your mechanic and B: your definition of "need"

I will admit that it is a very appealing vehicle by the photos.

Does the dog come with the sale of the truck? If so, tempting. NOT!

It's frustrating searching for an 80 series.

:bang:

Yeah it is one of the nicer ones I have seen. I am not far from him and I can go test drive it and make sure it all checks out. I just don't know what would be a fair offer for it.

If EVERYTHING checked out....rust level on the undercarriage, lockers engaging, no leaks, no codes, rust under rear hatch, seats and windows work, sunroof doesn't leak and operates, no clear coat issues, good brake rotors, knuckles not throwing grease...a locked LX450 with over 200K and no armor and a passenger car roof rack would realistically be an 11k-13K rig in my estimation.

I find it interesting that he feels like having his dog and himself in some of the pictures improves the perception...sorta self absorbed.
Friggen Millennials.

Haha that is true. That's the price I was thinking. I'm waiting on him to message me back I asked him what his reserve was.

There is some shaddy stuff going on with the bidding... There is no way that the bids today would have transpired and bumped it up to $16,000... I am certain he has a couple buddies bidding on the truck to drive the price up because he is talking with people outside of eBay and he is trying to keep the price ridiculously high... He is creating a false sense of market value... I mean look at the prices in completed LX450 auctions.

This is a 10-12K truck period! And as Trapper stated...that is IF EVERYTHING checked out. The fact that he states it has locking hubs without listing a part-time kit just makes me cringe! :ban:

Yeah i am not even looking at this one anymore you guys have brought up many valid concerns. Thanks everyone saved me from spending a lot of money

I'd say its worth $8-9,000. Mine had 222k miles when I purchased it last year with a few tasteful mods and all receipts. There will always be Cruisers for sale, take your time to find one that fits your idea of the perfect one. Where you located? I'm from Fayette Co.

Savannah area. I found 2 nice ones at a dealer in Miami but I don't know anyone down there who could take a look at them for me and see if it is worth the drive

I'll be in Savannah (heading down to Copeland, Fl) at the end of the month if you want to meet up and get a close up look at my LX. I'm always up for auto talk.

But if your looking at 80's around the Atlanta area let me know and I'll check it out for you.
