found it for $500 too much?

Sweet find!!!! Up here a M105 with bows and canvas will go in excess of $1100. I'd say that's a great deal.

I tow mine with my FJ40 ON MY PROPERTY, but with my Dodge to get firewood, etc. The box is 6'2" W by 9'2" long, OAL is probably 12' give or take. Awesome capacity. :grinpimp:

This is a M105 which was designed to be towed behind the M35 series trucks (duce-and-a-half) which will put the pintle ring much higher than a normal FJ would have a trailer hitch, and you would need the larger hitch from the 2-1/2 ton and larger trucks. Depending on mod, it may have air brakes as well. These trailers were built to haul 1-1/2 ton of cargo, and do so quite well. As for towing behind a FJ sized truck, I would find a smaller trailer.

Personally I would be looking for a M100/M416/M101cdn if you want something small and trail worthy or M101A1/A2 if you are more concerned with payload. The M101 series will be about the same physical dimensions as the M105, but are designed to be pulled behind the CUCV (Blazer/Pickup) and HUMVEE. The A2 has a surge brake, while the A1 does not. Both the A1 and A2 are 3/4 ton trailers. If you can find a M101A3, they had a wider axle, more ground clearance, and used the same wheels/tires as the HMMWV, AND payload was bumped to 1 ton.

yeah... i passed on it.
also, I don't have a toyota...just on here for the awesome trialer help!

just my jeep liberty with the v6. so yeah it would have been a lot, i'm not gunna lie!

Yeah, you were VERY wise to pass on the M105. Even an M101 would be on the big size for me, and I have a CRD. Just check out the M416, M100, and M101cdn's on eBay and CraigsList. You can usually pick them up for $600-800 depending on condition.

3/4 ton M101 trailers (5-lug hubs) go for $800 to $1500, and are the largest *practical* trailer for most vehicles.

The 1.5 ton M103, M104 and M105 trailers (6-lugs) are way too large for all but the largest pickups, like an F350 at a minimum. They are simply too large and heavy for anything smaller. They were designed to be pulled by a 2.5 ton 6x6. These trailers go for $300 to $600 in my area, because no one wants them.

The M101A1 and A2 trailers have the 5-lug hubs and are rated at 3/4 ton.

The M101A3 has 8-lug hubs and was rated at 1 Ton.

Both the A2 and A3 were built with hydro surge brakes and manual parking brakes, the A1 only has the parking brake.

Those trailers are hard to sell even for $400 here in WA

Heavy too. Good trailers though.

I have the 3/4 tone 8 lug one that is smaller that I tow behind a 52 M37.
