What to expect to pay for a frame?

What is a reasonable price to expect to pay for a 74'-79' frame in good condition?

By good condition I mean not rusted out but needing to be blasted
and maybe some minor patching or repair.

If I could get a title with the frame that would be a big help. If it has a clear title how much should that affect to the price?

I'm in Montana so would try to find one in the western or central part of the country if I could, if that would make a difference in pricing.

A frame without title should be cheap. Maybe $200

A decent frame with title? Maybe $500


Expand your search to earlier frames, go pre 75 so incase you ever move or sell in California, it's smog free.

I put all 76 parts, including tub and driveline on a 71 frame, so you can use any pre 79 frame.

im guessing pretty cheap. I got my a whole fj40 72 with tub Everything for 500 clean title

For my frame? Uh, about $16,000...........but that includes a 40 on top of it. And a clear title.

I got a 72 frame from cruiser parts trucked to about an hour from my house for $600. I needed it for my 74 so I had to change the rear cross member and the torque tube.
