Came across this webpage a couple years ago. Thought I'd share as it is pretty cool. I think the Russians have figured out that the 70 series Prado is a good bang for the buck platform that works well in their environment with some modifications.

There are literally 100's of Prado projects here. As you scroll down more and more load. Under each project are links to the work they've done with explanation and more pictures. You'll need to translate it (chrome browser seems to do it for me automatically).

Lots of good ideas on those pages.

Just with a quick browse, I've found them swapping 2LTE's out for 1UZFE, 5VZFE, 1JZGTE, 2JZGTE, and more with good success.

Wow! With all those big lifts someone in Russia must be making an adjustable Pan hard for RHD. Hmmmm

It would be nice to know where they are getting their parts from for sure. With some reading you might find out. For some reason I'd be hesitant sending money to Russia though....

The last few years several LJ70 and LJ73's got stolen in central Europe,I would not be surprised if someone finds his/hers Cruiser back on here ;-)

They are sure one tough looking truck, and they seem to lend to simple front bumper designs.
I guess they are coil fronts ends, so if you add 135-150 lbs of winch and metal to the front what is
the normal spring upgrade to compensate? Just throwing it out there.
