Thanks for all the recommendations and insight. Due to limited time I went ahead and got the group 31 Blue top Optima and have the jumper as backup for this trip. I had to buy longer hold down bolt (10 inch but had to cut down the driver side as too long and would touch good). I will update after the trip with results.
Expecting a variety of temps ranging from 70s to 105 degrees.
As FYI for anyone in the future reading my setup is a newer ARB 63 with the transit bag cover and the monitor as well. This is connected using the cigarette lighter outlet. I will consider adding solar option once I have time after my trip.
