Hey everyone,
I had the rad swaped out of my 60 yesterday and he saved the old one for me. Is there anything I should save from it? Also a lot of the fins at the bottom of the old one are actually crumbling, so I assume that there is nothing more for this rad other than the garbage?

Thanks,
Zack

you're right....

you might want to save the petcock valve to have on hand as a backup in the event your new one accidently breaks off

Save the tanks if they are good

I have a reasonable core that just needs some new tanks..

They old brass/copper radiator cores are worth about $1 per pound, which equates to about $20 for it at your local scrap metal salvage place. I sold 5 radiator cores last fall, and made over $100 for them.

Great idea thank you! The new radiators that you can buy today for the 60's for about $200.00 are they brass/copper as well, or is it just th eOEM Toyota parts?

Thanks,
Zack

The CCOT aftermarket radiator I put in both of my FJ60s were just like the OEM originals, with brass/copper construction.

Performance Radiator...

around $200 with a good warranty. Some Toyota dealerships use this as a customer alternative for the high priced OEM one.
