We recieved the kit today, it did not come with shackles and I think this would finish the install nicely.

The question is what shocks are best suited for a farm use and lots of highway driving HZJ45?

Might sandblast and powdercoat the springs first, we did it before and I think the temperature in the oven did not effect the springs.

Thanks

personally i would hold of powdercoating the springs..
i would run Rancho RS9000 so you can play with the settings for highway vs farm use...
just a suggestion
cheers

Wayne, we had thought about using the Ranchos firstly but the idea of tweaking the dial each time you want to make a change did not apeal especially in the rear.

We could buck up and put the incab adjuster but I think thier might be a alternative shock that is somewhat self adjusting under different conditions.

thanks
Rob

If these are TIC-Springs you can leave it with the original paint, i've heard(!) they keep longer "rust-free", but there are no long-time tests available here in germany.

Good shocks in combination with these springs can be the adjustable koni heavy track raid (http://www.koni4x4.com/index.php?flash=1 - the german cruiser-community is fascinated by these shocks and there started a thread about these spring/shock-combination a few days ago). i hope they are available in canada.

have a nice day

I'm going to run Doetsch-Tech 8000s. I have had the time to install everything yet--hope to do it over the 4th of July long weekend--but will post results when I do. 'Course, this will be on a SWB BJ42.

Don't waste your money with the in-cab stuff... junk IMHO. We use the 9-way adjustables on alot of our work, and people usually only adjust them once in a while (once to go on-road, and change when they go offroad).

Just my 2 cents... :D

Thanks, thats the kind of advice I like to hear.....first hand expierence.

I may opt for the Konis if they are available.
