I have a 97 land cruiser with a sun roof. I want a full size roof rack but want a roof rack that doesn't cover the sun roof. Looked at the Goni but I don't want to pay $1,500. Looking for one around $500 or less. Do they make one like that for that kind of money? If not what small one looks the best on this year land cruiser and what does it cost?

I have the perfect one then. I did the same plan.
I just upgraded to a full size ARB. So my small rack is for sale. 5 months old.
Text me I can send you pictures.
This fits to the factory rack and goes from sun roof to tail gate. Fits perfect.

Under $500, little tough.

I ran Yakima bars and a megawarrior (the warrior was to narrow for my like). Looked pretty good. I wanted a little more size so later bought the megawarrior extention.

I have a similar setup. Easy to get on and off, versatile, not that expensive.

Carboncorsa, where you located?

So easy, in fact, when I forget it's up there, it comes off automatically when I pull into the garage!

Your baja was under $500?? Or talking about a previous setup?

You get what you pay for. I would still recommend the Gobi Stealth. It is incredible. I rate it a 10 out of 10. It is so well made, easy to install, supports a ton, comes prewired for lights, and does not cover your sun roof. It was expensive, but with the ladder add-on I use it nearly every weekend. It will change the overall usability of your cruiser - so yes you pay more but you expand the capabilities of your rig. Also note the Stealth has a lower profile so you don't have to take it off to worry about clearance if that is an issue.

I second the Gobi Stealth and everything Pedrok stated. Yes it's pricey, but it's so well made and looks awesome. If you can't spend that much money but will utilize the rack often, then I suggest you hold out. There is an ARB rack for sale in the classifieds, I believe for around $700. If you are unsure of whether the Gobi is worth the money, it is indeed.

Disregard my comment about the ARB, it's in Washington State and he will not ship. I see you are in Alabama. Apologies.

PrInSu Design would be my choice. Looks great and design seems very strong.

You select where to instal crossbars so could leave the sunroof open.

I second on the Prinsu Design...and can't get any lower profile than this roof rack
