What rear locker do I use in an HJ75?

Well I could be wrong but I thought that depended on the market. I thought I remembered seeing 75's semi-float in Costa Rica but now that I think about it I may be wrong. Your axle is a 9.5'' like most land cruisers, and I don't think the full float actually matters for the detroit.

So which one am I looking for? Looks like 187C152A?

I also find it kind of funny that the Harrop/Eaton E-locker doesn't show up in the Eaton catalog. I know they make e-lockers for Land Cruiser applications...
You have to go to the harrops site for the LC part numbers, eaton don't actually make them for LCs, harrops do that on their own with the eaton parts.

That's interesting! Good to know. I priced out a set from a vendor and it was out of my price range for now. I just found it odd that Eaton has e-lockers for relatively cheap for US domestic applications ($6-700), it would be nice if they had the Land Cruiser stuff too.

If an autolocker isn't what you ultimately want, l would hold off and save, then they'll be in your price range much sooner. I can't speak from experience, but the detroits don't exactly have a clean record for both on and off road performance, like any autolocker really.

I've heard lots of good things about Detroit lockers... Just installed one in my 4Runner. If I end up liking it, I'll get another for the Land Cruiser. I like auto lockers in concept, one less thing to fail.

That's because it is not an Eaton. It is my understanding that Harrop manufactures the locker under a license from Eaton.

CanAm Cruisers imports the Harrops into the US

Yeah that's what Damien was saying, Harrop makes them with Eaton components. The pictures on Harrop's website certainly look like the Eaton e lockers. My complaint/observation was only that Eaton makes other diffs for Land Cruisers, so they obviously have the measurements to make the diffs. I wish they made a more budget friendly e locker option :)

And yes, CanAm is who I talked to about pricing. Their price is certainly reasonable when you see what Harrop charges in Australia plus shipping to here.
