Picked up a 1966 FJ45.....since the steering box is upfront like a sag conversion....is a sag the easiest way to go?
That looks like a sag manual box.
A sag power steering box would fit in there but with some more fabrication. You would have to change the mounting plate, mount a p/s pump and run lines. You would not have to change the steering shaft or steering linkage.
The best is a 4 bolt 4 turn box from a mid to late 60s full body car. 3 bolt 3.5 turn boxes work pretty good too.
