I was changing out some vac lines on my 60 today and happened to break a port on a very small part. It is a small valve-looking part, one side is green, then clear plastic in the middle, and the back side is black. It is not the one that sits directly above the thermostat housing, but it is the same kind of part. It is the larger one to the right of the thermostat (and back a bit). It sits close to the power steering pump (between it and the manifold).
The part number is: 010 21
It has "A" on the green side, and "B" on the black side.
If I had a digital camera, I'd take a shot of it for you guys.
I was able to repair it, but need to order a new one. If for some reason the port breaks when I try to reinstall the vac line, would it hurt things to drive it for a week with just a vac line bypassing the part?
What does it do?
Thanks.
