lol, yeah pretty much. But about my oil question...anything really different i should worry about/be happy about from switching to the full syn over the blend?
Once you switch the word is you need to stay with the synthetic.
Old wives tale. Change back and forth at will.
Main diffeences will be thet syn will be easier in the cold weather and you can leave it longer in the engine ( 7.5-10K miles) check out your oil level as some have reported either leaks or oil usage when changing to mobil 1. In my case, no leaks, no usage in 10k intervals.
Ive been using mobil 1 for the past while, but i was using a syn blend, the Clean 7500.
Just changed my oil today, i put exactly 4700 miles on the oil change. I thought that was funny, since its a 4700cc engine. Anyways changed the oil, stuff still looked pretty clean i probably could have gone another 2-3k without a worry. But.....since i do beat on the truck i decided to just change it anyways.
We shall see.

My problem is too many!!!!
Mobile 1 10w-30 full syn in the 80, Chevron Delo 400 15w-50 in the 100, 5000 mile interval on both, all Toyota filters at each change (I use the older, bigger filters on the 80, not sure if they'll fit on the 100).
I bought a case of the Napa Gold large filters. I couldn't get it to fit on the 100, just too tight!
I've been going about 6,000 to 7,000 on the oil changes now on the 80 and 100 and they are fine. I did a Blackstone oil report on the 100 and it was nice and clean, they said I could go longer, maybe to 7,500mi. I have yet to hear back regarding the 80.

Over in the Land down under we religious change oil (Penrite) every 5000ks and oil and filter every 10000ks anything after this and the oil is starting to lose its villosity and breaks down to quickly .You can always tell on start up with your oil gauge and quickly the oil pressure takes to comes up .I have a document with all Toyotas sold in Europe. It contains all service intervals. For 1HD-FTE (from '98 on) the oil change interval is 15000 km or 7500 km in heavy conditions. With every oil change oil filter needs to be replaced.
I change oil after 15000km, but usually sooner (when I come from a desert trip I allways change oil in engine, diffs and gearbox).
Maybe 1HD-FTE doesn't contain over 11 liters of oil for nothing
