What is this thingy?

I stole this pic from the starter contacts DIY thread and edited it. Looking for the name/part number of the thing circled in red. It's a small plastic box installed in the return line from the charcoal canister. Broken off and causing a P0441 and P0446 code due to vacuum leak.

Can I just bypass it altogether?
