What is this plug by headlight washer fluid reservoir?

Apologies if this is a stupid question, but I am VERY new to this.

After idling fine for 3 months of ownership, my '87 FJ60 is stalling when idling at every light, UNLESS I open the choke. I found all the threads on this topic and was poking around the engine and noticed this unplugged.

Goes no place, I think. lots of extra plugs on the 60s. nothing(wire or plug ) on that side of the motor would cause your problem.

Your pproblem sound like an idle control selnoid that needed to be grounded. very easy and 90% of the time it will cure the proplem.

Are you desmogged? If so, the plugs are just left over remnants of the smog system. You don't need them and they are not causing your problems. Check your ICS as mentioned above and then check for vacuum leaks. Your culprit is more than likely there.
