What is this? Aftermarket from previous owner? (1 Viewer)

Anyone recognize this? When I first aquired the car I thought it was OBD port with a cover. But was looking at footwell and noticed it’s crooked and held with screws thru the plastic footwell. Has a small teal button on it too. I don’t see or know of any aftermarket accessories on the car.
I bought it from carmax so minimal history.

it has remote start and factory alarm.

Pulled it off the dash and found a serial number. Looks like an alarm system. Shoddy install. May have to remove it. Wonder how many of you guys have one. Lol. Looks like a dealer “upgrade”

That looks extremely cheap. I'd have it removed.

It is a security system for the dealer. Immobilizer connected to the ignition. Many times they will try to sell it to you but it isn't worth their time to remove it if you don't buy it.
Check the install, they have been know to cause may electrical issues due to poor quality connections in to the wiring harness.
