It isn't an FJ55...what is it? Know of any for sale?

What years was that offered?

I think I am going to go on a search for one.

Scroll down and visit the FJ45 owners club in the forum list. The trucks were offered all along, with fj40's just pretty rare.
When I got the info on my truck (a 63 swb) I was told it was 1 of 4 imported into California that year, 120 to U.S. total I was told, but the numbers are just heresy and not factual or documented anywhere to my knowledge.

I had a 1965 FJ45 p/u at one time. I spent a year restoring it and within 6 months my 1st child was born and I had to get a better family rig. I couldn't give the thing away. I thought for sure it was a collectable. Finally sold it for $4500 totally restored with new or rebuilt everything. Now I see them offered for big bucks. Hind sights 20/20. Wish I still had it.

I need to find one restored in the $6000 range. <gulp>

Good luck, no likely going to find on in that price range restored. Here is a cool tool
Search Tempest - Craigslist Helper & More!
Only finds 2 within a thousand miles of my house, 1 in texas for over 10,000 and one in Ga for 4,500 that needs to be restored, lots of rust, bad frame but does come with another frame. If I was closer to that one I would be tempted to look at it, would have to sell some existing toys, but would be cool.

You can also use google and search with this for craigslist "fj45 site:craigslist.org" finds a lot of old deleted posts but does find them all. Ebay is also good. You will just have to hope and find one on craiglist's and get there first.

I paid $5800 for my RHD one and it was wasn't restored.

Driveable, but far from restored.

For the most part they were only imported for the US market during the 60's. Many people have been importing later models from other conuntries, mainly Austrailia. Thats were mine is from.

Good luck in your search!
