What is supposed to be in the little cubby on the back wall drivers side?

I recently pulled the rear seats out and noticed a little cubby on the drivers side in the back. There is a little black strap located inside the cubby. Having bought mine used and still being new to the GX life I'm curious what is supposed to be in there?

is this in the very back were the back curves to the rear door? if so, thats where the jack is suppose to go?

Not the currved door, it's on the side wall - below the rear vent window. Opposite the subwoofer on the passenger side.

Didn't know if it was just storage or if something should be there from the factory?

That was my first thought when I opened the door. I just wondered (since it was bought used) if something was in there from the factory?

Nothing from the factory that I know of. Just a helpful cubby of storage fun.

My 08 from the factory has the satellite radio stored back there in that rectangle compartment

It almost seems like it was designed for a Blue Sea fuse panel given how many people put one in there!

There was a Lexus first aid kit inside of my 2007. I wasn't the first owner though.

If I have this right, the storage area described in this thread is called the "Auxiliary Box" per the owner's manual. This box was to store the optional Lexus first aid kit.

Oh, and the cubby in the rear hatch door was meant to store the optional warning reflector per manual.

Ditto on the satellite radio receiver, which appears to have been port- or dealer-installed on my '07. Removed mine and have the Blue Sea fuse box in there as well!

If you take out the plastic tray it fits perfectly.
