On my 2009 LX 570, when I open the rear lift gate, there is`a smaller "truck rear door" that opens flat towards you to the level of the rear trunk space. Within this door, there are 2 storage compartments. One of them has a black box full of accessory tools/jacks to help change a spare tire. My other one is empty, and I'm not sure what is supposed to go in there.

Can anyone let me know what is supposed to be in the other compartment? Thanks.

mine was empty, but I've taken out the stuff that comes with it and put some basic hand tools there.

I understand there is an optional first aid kit that fits that slot.

Good to know, thanks. Though however I do see what looks like a zippered bag/purse composed of minor first aid items in a hidden trunk compartment near the rear wheel well. Is there another first aid kit available?

On my LC, tool kit for tire changes, etc. sized to perfectly fit that space. On the other side I have flashlight, first aid kit and a couple other similar items that I would want to access in a hurry.

This flashlight, first aid kit, and other items.... are they OEM accessories?

First aid kit goes in pocket of cubby door, passenger side. You can buy this on Amazon if you didn't get one.

I looked at several Cruisers this spring before buying mine, left compartment was always empty. Mine is full of rope, bungee cord, and ratchet straps now.

Thanks for the pic. So I'm guessing the left compartment is always empty, good to know.

I like your left compartment setup. I may have to get a similar kit :)

I keep tools, hand warmers, bulbs, fuses, extra lic plate screws, 2 life straws and an extra flash light in mine

I've heard some compartments come with nachos. Mine had a leprechaun. Come to think of it, he may have eaten the nachos. Damn nacho-eating leprechauns.
I heard that it was filled with pot smuggled in from Japan. That may explain the nacho-eating leprechauns.
